New Car & Detroit Tiger's

This past Thursday I picked up my car! I got a 2008 Bright Red Dodge Charger, and I love it!
Here are some pics from last Wednesday of Cupcake playing with her orange squeaky mouse.

She loves the mouse! Tiger just sits back and watches her. I broke down on Friday and bought an iTouch iPod. I like to have it in the car to listen to. I sent in both mine and AC's passports along with our visa applications last Monday (6/23) and on Friday (6/27) I received our visa's. What a quick turnaround! We haven't booked our tickets yet.

On Friday, I met friends for dinner and darts at a bar in Waterford. On Saturday I got my haircut and went to the Tiger's game with my bil (brother in law) Amit. Here are some photos from the game. We won and had a good time.

I spent Sunday doing yard work and laundry. AC got home from his golf outing weekend around 8 pm. He played a total of 99 holes of golf starting Thursday night and ending Sunday afternoon. He had a good time and is already looking forward to next year. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Re-Cap of the last week...

On Thursday AC's Uncle and Aunt (from India) got into town. I went over to the in-laws bearing fruit and flowers to visit. On Friday I went out to dinner with a bunch of girlfriends. They were going to see Sex and the City, but I passed since I had already seen it. AC was at his mom & dad's for dinner and to visit his Aunt and Uncle. I met a friend up at CJ's and met AC at home later. On Saturday AC had a golf lesson and later on in the evening we went to a graduation party for my dear friend Tracy. Tracy and Me:

Tracy graduated from Walsh with her Masters. We are so proud of her. We had fun visiting with friends and her family. AC and Me:

My gift to Tracy was a photo book I made on the Kodak Gallery website. It was a bunch of photos of the two of us on trips and just hanging out. It turned out good and she really liked it. I have a book of quotes for scrapbooking and I used a bunch of Friend quotes in the book. "Will we be friends forever, asked Piglet. Even Longer answered Pooh." I put that on the first page. Neither of us have a thing for pooh, but I liked the quote.

On Saturday morning I went to the Chrysler dealership to test drive a few cars. My lease is up soon and I can turn it in early. I drove a Charger and a Journey. I like the Charger, but the Journey is too much like a mini-van. If I don't have children or 2 big dogs, I can not have a mini-van or anything like it. On Monday I went to a Pontiac dealer and drove the G8 and the Grand Prix. I really didn't like either of them. I checked with Ford, but the price for an Escape is more than the Charger. So, I am leaning toward the Charger. I am lucky enough to have a Mother who is able to get discounts at each of the dealers mentioned above. I am waiting for her to call me with a Chrysler number as we speak.

On Sunday, we had Anita & Jason over for brunch around 11 am. Then Jason, who is a landscaper, went over our front yard with us. Basically all of the bushes and shrubs are overgrown and too big to be by the house. Jason got a quote to us and I asked him to add on some more areas. I am looking forward to him starting.

On Sunday evening we had AC's family along with the Aunt and Uncle over for dinner. I got lucky because we ordered in, Thai and Pizza. Everything was good and everyone had a nice time.

Ashley came over last night and spent the night. We went to Outback for dinner, Friday's for dessert and to Wal-Mart for a couple books. AC is coming home tonight and getting ready to leave on Thursday for a major golf weekend. My in-laws are leaving on Thursday for a week in LasVegas. Not much going on this weekend.

Boring

I am really bored at work today. It sure is quiet without my 2 co-workers. I do miss chatting with them. A bunch of others are on vacation this week, so it is quiet anyway. I bought some scrapbooking product to make 4th of July cards. I haven't started, but looking forward to that. Archiver's is having an Acrylic Album 2 class in July. I am going to sign up since the last class sold out to quickly. My good friend Tracy is graduating with her Masters from Walsh this weekend. I am so excited for her. Her boyfriend is throwing a party for her. I made her something last night, but can't talk about it until she has it. I ordered a new bathing suit from Lands End yesterday. Bathing suits are so expensive and you have to buy them in early spring so that you get the suit you want! AC has an Uncle & Aunt from India coming here on Thursday. While they are in the US they want to go to Las Vegas. They are going to go for a week. A family wedding is taking place in September in India, my in-laws are going and want AC and I to come also. They say the minimum amount of time that you can go is for 2 weeks, just because it takes so long to get there. I am scared of the 2 weeks. I like my house and will miss my cats. But AC's family is there and he hasn't been there in 10+ years, so we need to go sometime.

2 things for the first time

The power was only off for 3 days. But, it was enough to drive me nuts. On Wednesday, I did something I have never done before. I went to see Sex and the City all by myself. It was a cute movie and I had a good time, the company was the best! I got a couple of calls from work (9 pm) saying the power was back on and they wanted me to call people to let them know. I sent text messages to a few and my co-worker said she would do the rest. I was busy on Thursday and Friday at work. Friday morning I went to my dermatologist for laser treatment for the redness on my right cheek. She said it felt like a rubber band snap, I don't know what kind of rubber band she was talking about, because it felt like little needles poking you really fast. Not pleasant, but beauty isn't painless! I go back in a month for her to check it out and do another treatment. It took about 20 minutes and I had to wear goggles that were solid so I could not see anything. I am not sure where the redness came from, but I noticed it about a year ago now and then others started mentioning it. The Dr. expects it to dramatically improve and not come back.

Not much going on this weekend. I finished the book, My Sisters Keeper. It was good. I need to go through my stack of books at home and pick one to read. I really need to get outside this week and trim all of the bushes. Our walk way is getting overgrown. I have been telling AC that we need to replace a bunch of bushes (All of them) but until yesterday he didn't believe me. Once the bushes get old they stop growing on some sides and get ugly looking. I need to have my friends husband come over and give his expert opinion on what we should plant and replace. (He is a landscaper). On Friday after work I went straight to the tanning salon, and I think someone was trying to tell me something... As I was standing up to get out of the bed, I smashed my head into the cover of the bed, I didn't open it all the way. I had a major headache for a few hours. My head still is tender when I am shampooing my hair.
Happy Monday!

Day off

Still no power at work. 3 days now. Yesterday I called a bunch of people to spread the word, slept in a while, went tanning (I know, I know), got my allergy shots, and went to the Scrapbook Tree. I had sketch class last night, but went really early. Not much going on, kinda boring with AC gone. Walsh College has not had power either, but I finished my paper on Monday and sent it to my instructor. All finished with Spring semester! I start my final semester on June 27th, only one class! I should clean the house today and organize my scrapbook stuff, I should. I just checked out a book from the library, My Sister's Keeper: A Novel by Jody Picoult, and I am really enjoying it. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Free Day!

Yesterday out of nowhere we experienced very high winds, rain, and tornado warnings. It lasted about 20 minutes, but did a lot of damage in this area. We didn't lose power, but a bunch of our friends did. I am so glad that we didn't. The winds were picking up the ceramic tiles out of our table on the patio! AC went out and got all of the tiles and grabbed the chair that blew out into the lawn.

On the plus side of losing power, I went to work this morning and no power there! We all got to go home for the day. Now I need to start working on my paper for school, it is only 7 pages.

Still here

I am not trying to make this a habit, but it has been a while since I have blogged. I hope all of the 1,000's of loyal readers are still stopping by:)

I have been going through some big changes at work. The company I work for was sold and two of my co-workers were let go. I am going to miss them. I have been working for this company for 11 years. Two of my co-workers were the owners daughters. The owner passed away last year and the company was just sold. The new owner has been working with us for 5 years. I am excited to see the new changes and developments that will take place at the company. However I will miss the girls. On the plus side I get more office space! I was working on moving around the office on Friday and still have a bunch more to do this week.

AC has been at home the last 2 weeks healing from his knee surgery. He will be going back to work tomorrow. My semester is almost over. I finished one class on Friday night and need to have a paper turned in by midnight tomorrow. Still working on the paper.

My friend Anita had her baby shower yesterday. I was her un-official shower photographer. I took about 170 photos. I hope she likes them.

Have a good week.
