Stress!?!

Another weekend flew by and it is Monday again. The painter came back today. I really hope that a room or two get done today so that I can get it cleaned and put back together. It stresses me out to have the house so mixed up. The great room has 2 couches and a TV left in it, the rest is in the den and dining room. It is a mess. I also have messes to clean after AC leaves for work today. He leaves on Monday morning and returns on Friday night. He really doesn't have time to do anything. He has a golf lesson every Saturday and the rest of the time I yell about stuff he needs to do at home. It is also stressful to have him gone all the time. Don't get me wrong, I am very thankful he has a job, things could always be worse. He works a lot during the week and really just wants to relax on the weekend, but since he is gone I need his help.

We are not having the painter paint the trim in the house. I figure I can do this. First I need to go and get wood filler and patch all of the nicks and dents in the trim. Then I can paint it. I always get excited and motivated about projects while I am at work, but by the time that I get home I am tired and wonder what I was thinking.

As for the weekend, AC played poker on Friday, I scrapped with friends from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday, I did homework and we did stuff around the house on Sunday. We took everything down off the walls and moved furniture. Hope your week is a happy one.

Notes on Card, Thanks for reading!

Notes for card #2 below. This was a new-to-me technique. We took re-inkers and put them on a baby wipe, multiple drops of multiple colors, then used it as an ink pad to stamp. Thanks for all of your comments and for reading my blog.

The painter is working on the final touches of the bedroom and bathroom. His timing estimate seems to have been a little optimistic. As long as the paint job looks good, nothing else is a big deal, because of the good price. I will keep you updated.

I have to go home at lunch today because a company is coming to measure for a new back door on our house. Then I have a doctor appointment and sketch club at my lss. Grey's is back on tonight along with the Office! Fun Night! Have a good one.

Weekend Re-Cap

Hi! Hope everyone had a good weekend. On Saturday I went to my friend Anita's for the monthly card class that she has. She is a Stampin Up demonstrator and makes the cutest cards. Here is what we made this month:
On Saturday AC went golfing, but before he left we had a good friend of ours, Brad, bring his relative over to give us a painting quote. I bought new bedding and lamps, and AC said we should try to keep the cost down and paint the bedroom ourselves. Thank God he changed his mind! We are currently having the master bedroom and bathroom painted. We are also having the great room, stairway, 2 hallways, and the entry off the garage painted. I am so glad that we are not doing this ourselves! The master bathroom has one coat on it and it really looks like a real bathroom, not just a white uncompleted bathroom project!! I went to Lowe's tonight and purchased the new vent covers along with light switch and plug covers. The wall vents had been painted over and looked bad. I took them all off and am going to replace them with white new ones. We will not be painting over them. I am excited. Dana, the guy that is painting, says that the bedroom & bathroom should be completed tomorrow. Then I can clean and put the new stuff in the room!! I will post pictures as soon as I can take some after shots.
On Monday morning I went to see my dermatologist about 2 small bumps on my eyelid. It turns out that they are enlarged oil glands and she froze them with liquid Nitrogen! Now I have a blister on my eyelid, but no pain. It might have to be done a couple more times and then gone for good. That was an exciting Monday. What a lovely bit of info to share on my blog. It is just to see if anyone really reads this.
Not much else is new. I have sketch club on Thursday this week and a 12 hour on Saturday! I am excited for that. I need to get my stuff put together. Have a good week!

Card Classes

We spent the weekend watching the Masters, since dh is such a huge golf fan. We even had a Masters Viewing get-together at our house. My friend from high school, Mel and her husband came to watch on Saturday. They are big golf fans too. I spent all day on Sunday doing homework.

We have only finished one room (my scrapbook room) in our house since moving in last year, we do have Deb working on getting some different fabric for our living room. On Friday, I went and bought new bedding for the master bedroom. We picked out a paint color and I have been working on getting quotes for interior shutters, it is coming along and I am looking forward to getting another room finished. I even have a scrapbook inspired decor project in mind for the room.

Tonight I went to another class at Archivers. Here are the cards from tonight:

I liked the class. I took the stationary class last week, here are the pictures from that class:

Lose Ankle

I have been a little behind posting lately. My last post was about the paper towel holder organizer, well I started it but I am not happy with it. It seems like everything I have is taller than 11", so it sticks up and out of the page protectors. It does not look anything like the one from Monday's post. So, I broke down and bought a Clip-it-up last night at Archiver's. Here is a photo of the clip it up:

I am looking forward to putting my stuff on this latest organizing tool. I went to a class at Archiver's last night. The class was called Stationary in a Snap. I will post pictures of the cards later. I don't know what my deal is, wait a minute Yes I do, I am so impatient that I feel the need to be the first one done with the cards. I race through and sometimes make mistakes because who has the time to read the directions?! I don't know if the other ladies noticed that I was racing them, but I totally won, smoked them in fact.

I could not believe how many people had not ever seen the crop-a-dile! Where have they been? I completely understand non-scrapbookers never having heard of it, but scrapbookers??

For any of you wondering what a crop-a-dile is: it is a tool to set eyelets and punches holes. See photo below:About a month ago I began having ankle pain. I would wake up in the morning and my ankle would feel like I sprained it. After walking for a while it would loosen up and the pain would go away, but it would be really swollen. After having x-rays, I had to have a MRI, which gave a diagnosis of swollen tendons, a possible torn ligament, and an appointment with a specialist. My appointment was this morning and of course my ankle has not hurt for a week now. I felt guilty being there when others were limping in. After more x-rays, from the standing position this time, the doctor says I have a "loose ankle." I have stretches to do and he thinks that I will not have anymore problems after I strength my ankle. I am glad it was a simple fix.

I had my car repaired from where the crazy woman hit me. There was apparently a panel dented in that could not be seen from the outside. $185 to repair, but they also touched up the entire car as part of a lease turn in deal, the lease deal was $100, the dent repair was $85. I also have a dent in my passenger rear door. See below story...

It May 2006, I only had the car for a month and I was on my way to get my nails done, when a fire truck started coming down the middle of the road, I moved over without even looking and ran into a nice little red hat lady's car. She was really mad (understandably) and I was telling her that I was preoccupied because I was leaving on Thursday (2 days later) to get married in Jamaica. She instantly changed and was asking all about our wedding. I said it was completely my fault and I would pay for the damage to her car. Her drivers side mirror was broken off. She was nice enough to trust me and took my address. Two weeks after I got back from Jamaica, there was a letter from the lady and she said she had her husband go to 4 different places to get estimates and sent me the repair bill for the replaced mirror. I mailed her a check the next day and I included a couple pictures from our wedding. A few days later I got a letter back saying how nice the pictures were and how she loved getting them. The day I hit her she was on her way to a Red Hat Ladies Meeting, so she was going to take my pictures to the next meeting and show them. I really couldn't have hit a better person:)

Since my car is due to be turned in soon I figured I better get my dent, which was way worse than the other ladies car, fixed. I got a quote today and it is $1350 to fix it! I am feeling thankful for insurance today.

New Project

It's Monday again. Here is the weekend recap: AC came home on Friday and I made dinner. Amit came over and ate with us. Saturday I read for school and did some stuff in my scrapbook room. It really bugs me that I go in there to do something and end up trying to organize one thing or another and leave it a big mess! Sunday we went to Home Depot and bought patio furniture. It was very nice on Saturday and Sunday. It really felt like spring.
Today, I came across a very cool way to organize scrapbooking stuff:

I found it here. After work I went to Target to get a paper towel holder and I am all set to get it together. I'll let you know how it goes. 1st week of classes are done:) I have been thinking about all of the stamping stuff that I collect, I have not ever made a card or scrapbooked with it!! Maybe I should try to eBay it? When I think of all the money in it, I feel ill:( I think of ideas when I am out somewhere or shopping and I never do it. I like the stamps and envision a cool card, but never make it. Anyone else do this?
