My Scrapbook Room & 2 Peas Challenge

The DVR is working!! Now I have lots of shows to catch up on:) Going out to dinner tonight with the in-laws to celebrate the September birthdays. Have to do laundry and pack for the crop tomorrow! I am looking forward to it. By signing up, I know that I will scrapbook, otherwise I plan on doing it, but never end up doing any at home. I have a beautiful scrapbook room, but I don't work in it that much. (Let's keep this on the down low.)

2 Peas Challenge~ Have you started any of your holiday projects?

No! I am having trouble deciding if I want to make my Christmas cards. I have bought a couple of stamp sets from Archivers, but have not decided what to do. I was at Hallmark the other day and started looking at the Christmas cards there, which just made the decision harder. I would like to make a cute holiday card, but people just toss them out, so why bother? Not sure what I will do.

Happy Birthday & DVR Trouble

I just want to say Happy 33rd Birthday to my dear husband. We have been married for 15 months and together for 6 years. It is a pleasure to have him in my life. Thank you honey, for all you do and I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

Now for the sad part, last night our DVR started acting up. We were able to record, but not watch the recorded shows. I called Comcast this morning and they recommended unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. I sure hope this works! Since we will be out celebrating husband's birthdaytonight, we will not be home to catch the season premier of The Office or Grey's Anatomy!! (If only this could always be my biggest problem.)

I am just going to hope for the best and work on the DVR when we get home.

Dr & 2 Peas Challenge

The cast/splint is off!! Yahoo! The Doctor said that he expects the feeling to return to normal in my palm, not sure about the thumb, it will take time. I am able to wear my watch today, and it fits like normal, so my wrist is not to swollen. The only bad thing about this doctor is that I have had to wait quite a while when I go there. That is the most annoying thing when going to an appointment, and waiting 45+ minutes for your "appointment."

I am so glad that Fall TV is back!!

I miss shows over the summer. On Monday we watched How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Heroes, and Journeyman. Heroes is not really my kind of show, but AC and Amit really like it. I try to watch, but get bored and usually try to read or do something else without bugging them. Last night we watched some of House and Boston Legal.

We DVR'd a couple other shows from last night also. I can't wait to see the Office and Grey's Anatomy! We need to get a life!!

AC's birthday is tomorrow, so we are going to his parents for dinner. After dinner we are meeting some friends for drinks. On Saturday, AC is in a golf tournament that will last all day, so my sister, Ashley, and I are going to a 12 hour crop at our LSS. I am looking forward to going and getting some scrapping done. I need to spend some time tonight organizing and getting ready for the crop, so my time is not wasted there.

2 Pea's Challenge~ How often do you meet with friends to scrap? Do you wish it could be more?

I meet once a month at my LSS for the monthly club that we belong to. I wish we met more often, but it is hard to always find the time.

I had trouble sleeping last night, so I thought I would update my blog, but I could not for the life of me, get logged into Blogger!! So I read other blogs and surfed the net from 1 am to 2:30 am. I hate when that happens.

Tuesday Come Quick!

Since my hand surgery on Monday, I have had this on my left hand/arm:

I go back to the doctor's office on Tuesday morning and I can not wait to get this off. It is a wrap over a splint, it was getting too lose and dirty, so I re-wrapped it this morning.

Our Weekend

On Friday we went to the wedding of Varun & Emily. Here is a picture of the bride and groom:We were not invited to the wedding, but they first had an Indian ceremony followed by an American ceremony, then a reception. The reception hall was decorated beautifully:

Saturday was my father-in-law's birthday, so in the morning we took him out to brunch. My MIL was working and my BIL was taking him to the Michigan game in the afternoon. AC played poker in the evening and I watched a few episodes of Nip/Tuck.

This morning I went to Costco to pick up some photos and a few groceries. Other than that I have not done much today.

2 Pea's Challenge

Today's Challenge~ With it being the first day of fall. Do you have fall decorations up?
No decorations up yet, however I do have a new wreath to put up. I will do that tomorrow.

We have a wedding reception to go to tonight. I came back to work today. I am just taking it easy on the hand. Thankfully it is my left and not my right. I put 5 bags of clothes out for the Kidney Foundation this morning. It is nice to have all of my clothes that do not fit out of my closets! Happy Friday!!

Back to work tomorrow:( My hand/arm is doing good. It is in a soft cast to almost my elbow, so I can't see how it looks. I can't get it wet, so dishes are out of the question:) I decided to finish my layouts from sketch club on 9/11/07. Here they are:

New Baby & 2 Pea's Challenge One Handed

My surgery went well. Dr. Werner saw that one of my nerves was about 5% cut, so he wrapped a sleeve around it. The sleeve will dissolve over time. I was not put completely under, I was awake the whole time. I am sure that everyone in the OR was happy when I left, because I talked the whole time I was in there. Just about everything and anything:)

My friends Kelly & Ryan had their baby! A sweet little girl, Hannah Grace. I love her name. She weighed in at 8 lbs, born Saturday morning. Isn't she beautiful?!

Today's Challenge~ Have you ever applied/submitted to be on a design team?

For those of you who are not into scrapbooking, a design team consists of scrapbookers that are chosen by the pages they submit, once chosen they design layouts for the magazine or publication they work for. The companies often send design team members new products to experiment and play with before they are available to the public. I have never applied to be a design team member. There are so many creative and talented people out there, I am not one of them. I like to get ideas for layouts out of magazines and books.

Hand Surgery

Last weekend I got cut with some glass and ever since I have had pain and numbness in my hand. On Friday, I went to a hand specialist and he determined that a nerve in my hand was nicked with the glass. In order to repair the nerve I am having surgery on Monday (tomorrow). I have to be put out and it should take about an hour for the surgery. I will have a cast for about a week. Hopefully he is able to repair the nerve and things are back to normal soon. I am going to work for half a day tomorrow, since the surgery is in the afternoon. I also took Tuesday off, but hope to be back to work on Wednesday.

Sandcastles on the Beach

Tracy picked well, the condo was great. We stayed in Port Austin at Sandcastles on the Beach. The condo was nice and new with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

There were 3 couples in total that went and we had a great time.

Headed to the Beach!

This has been a busy week. Tuesday was sketch club at the Tree. I like going to sketch club and meeting once a month with all of the fun ladies there. It is always a good time. I worked on making 2 layouts and didn't finish either of them:( On Wednesday my good friend, Tracy, came over. We went shopping at Kohl's and to CJ Mahoney's for dinner. CJ's is a bar with GREAT food. They have really good chicken dumpling soup and a Reese's Peanut Butter Pie that is too die for! My BIL (brother-in-law) took us there once and that was it, we love that place.

Tonight I got my hair cut and went to visit my friend Kelly. Kelly is pregnant and due on Sunday. I must admit that while I was visiting I was hoping that she would go into labor, so that I could drive her to the hospital, since her husband was out. No such luck.

We are leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to Port Austin for the weekend. Tracy booked a condo and we are looking forward to a fun weekend away. She did warn me that the last time she booked a "cottage" it turned out to be a trailer. Hopefully the condo on the beach turns out like the pictures on the website:)

On Saturday evening we went to Ann Arbor to see Gavrav's new apartment at U of M. He is a junior there. Then we went out to dinner to celebrate Amit's 29th birthday. We had dinner at Mom & Dad's house on Amit's birthday, but Saturday we celebrated with Gaurav. Here are some pictures from Tuesday...

Labor Day Blog Challenge

No plans for today. We slept in and are relaxing at home today. AC did golf a bit and I did some cleaning. We are having a last minute BBQ and hanging out with family.
